Our full in-house design and engineering team work closely with you to develop, manufacture and prototype, bespoke solutions tailored specifically to your business environment which work seamlessly with your production process

We have a state-of-the-art engineering workshop that has in-depth machining capabilities that include but is not limited to: turning, milling, grinding, sawing and fabrication. Due to this our engineering workshop is capable of taking any project from concept to life.

We specialise in prototypes and batch components for precision parts. With 26 years of experience engineering bespoke solutions across different industries including aerospace, automotive and construction; we have the engineering experts, workshop facilities and knowledge to deliver your solution to your requirements and specifications.

Our capabilities allow for the manufacture of bespoke brackets or baseplates that work seamlessly alongside our in-house stock of aluminium profiles – this means quicker delivery and no delays in getting stock from suppliers across the country!

CNC Machining

We use the latest version of Solidworks to design, structure and model bespoke framing solutions. We use Solidworks for detailed 3D models and simulations. This allows our clients to visualize the prototype/framing system as well as provide feedback/revisions before the manufacturing stage.

CAD/CAM Manufacturing

We like speed, efficiency and getting the project right the first time. That is why we have invested heavily in computer-aided design and manufacturing. By utilizing this technology we can speed up the delivery of your bespoke solution, as well as, avoid errors in the process.

Prototyping

We specialize in one-off prototypes or Batch components of Precision parts. The facility of a Machine Shop allows the manufacture of Bespoke Brackets, Base Plates to work in unison with the Aluminum Profile Range.

4 Axis Machining

Our 4 axis CNC controlled machining and cutting technology is capable of cutting heavy-duty and nonferrous materials.

HOW KJN’s ENGINEERING SERVICE WORKS

Although we are experts in aluminium profile, we have the capabilities to machine a variety of materials including steel, stainless steel, nylon and plastics. This service can be used to complement our aluminium profile bespoke product service or it can be used as a single service for an individual precision part.

STEP 1 CAD DESIGN MODELLING

Firstly you will need to work with our designers to develop the prototype/precision part CAD drawing. Our engineers will be on hand to advise and offer expertise and support from start to finish. Find out more about our CAD design service and how this part of the process works.

STEP 2 CNC MACHINING

Once the rendered drawing has been approved by yourself and our team – production of the component can begin. Our team will then start the turning and milling process to engineer your part to specification.

STEP 3 ASSEMBLE

Once all of the materials have been machined to specification, our team of engineers assemble and test your prototype/bespoke solution.

STEP 4 FINISHING & TREATMENT

Once your prototype has been assembled– our engineers apply finishes and protective treatments to increase durability and longevity. This includes blasting, eroding, polishing/graining, lacquer, epoxy prime, zinc plating, chrome plating, welding and applying an anodized finish.

STEP 5 QUALITY ASSURE AND DELIVERY

Lastly we quality check the finalised component/prototype/bespoke solution for defects and inconsistencies. Once approved we package and deliver to your business.
